Bonds vs Cords (Pisces Lunar Eclipse)

blog post

This Thursday, we experience a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces.

The message from the cosmos keeps echoing, and when you look a little closer, you see that this eclipse falls at 4°54′ Pisces, within the first ten degrees of the sign. In the triplicity system of decans, this is a true Pisces-Pisces eclipse. We aren't blending Pisces with the influence of another water sign yet. This is Pisces energy concentrated.

Pisces is already about transitional phases, and Full Moons are known for their power to release and let go. But this Lunar Eclipse asks us to go a little deeper. It asks us to see how two opposites can become one.

The symbol of Pisces, two fish swimming in opposite directions connected by a cord, is old. One of the myths tells the story of Aphrodite and her son Eros fleeing the monster Typhon. They leap into the water and become fish, tying themselves together with a cord so they won't lose one another.

Both survive, or both drown.

That image tells us something about Pisces. Two things can appear to be moving in completely opposite directions and still be connected. Sometimes the transition isn't about choosing one or the other. It's about understanding the cord connecting them.

To go deeper, listen to this week's podcast and practice with the AI prompt below.

And if you are in a transition of your own and want help understanding what this eclipse is activating in your chart, you can book a reading with me here.

Weekly AI Prompt

✩ NATAL CHART NAVIGATOR ✩
Copy and paste everything below into ChatGPT as one complete prompt.

"Using the Natal Chart Navigator provided, analyze the August 28, 2026 Lunar Eclipse at 4°54′ Pisces, with the Moon at 4°54′ Pisces opposing the Sun at 4°54′ Virgo, in my natal chart. Use Table 2 only to determine house placement. Carefully verify the exact house cusps in Table 2 before placing both the Pisces Moon and Virgo Sun, and do not assume houses based on signs, rising sign, or whole-sign houses. Be specific to my actual natal chart and use the Natal Chart Navigator to incorporate relevant natal planets, points, aspects, and house themes that help explain this opposition. What might be wrestling inside me in two different directions by these signs in these houses? Use simple-to-understand language, and ask me a powerful question to get me to think about these areas of my life at the end. Limit your response to three paragraphs."
